Overview

Interesting app that has the potential to become the rosdep implementation for win_ros. At the very least, it makes for a much less painful installation of the myriad of dependencies that ros has.

Whether we really push use of this or not will be pending somewhat on what windows 8 brings to the table with it's idea of an app market.

Installation

• Download the installer.

• Install - do not add any default repositories.
• Launch the Gui

  • Tools->Options->Repositories

    • Add http://rnd.yujinrobot.com/pub/appupdater/fuerte-x86.metalink

  • Tools->Options->Security

    • Skip signature checks (we'll add these later).

Issues

Quite probably it has a few bugs and the repository also is bound to have a few issues. Use win_ros' github to post bug reports.

Workarounds

• Command line appupdater --update doesn't seem to refresh the app list. Use the gui's download function instead.
